Dear Parents of the CSN Mission,

Since the incredible earthquake we experienced in Santiago, Chile yesterday, we finally have a stable internet for now, so we will attempt a massive advisory to all of you, regarding your sons and daughters who are serving as missionaries here:

· ALL of the missionaries in our mission are accounted for, safe, and healthy.

· Monday, Mar 1st will be a normal Preparation day for them. They will attempt to send each of you an email updating you on their personal status and situations.

· Please note that some are still without electricity and may not have internet access yet. If you do not receive a message tomorrow, please do not worry and be patient, as they will continue attempting until they send you a message.

· Please feel free to visit our mission blog, and we will try to keep it updated and current.

We are doing our best to tend to the needs of ALL of our missionaries. We love each one of them and are grateful for their safety and positive attitudes amid such uncertainty and inconveniences. They are powerful and strong spirits, with a desire to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to all in Chile, more now, than ever before. Please continue to pray for all of the fine people in Chile.

Lovingly,

President and Sister Michael May

Elder Nelson is A-OK!

Dear friends and family,

I'm writing in behalf of my parents who are waiting in an airport and have been anxiously waiting news about Tyler. President May responded to an email from Dad saying, "Elder Nelson is okay. We are grateful to the Lord and for His protection. President May". As we get more information, we will continue to post on Tyler's blog.

Thank you to everyone who has called in concern for Tyler and for your continued prayers. We are grateful Tyler is safe and continue to pray for the safety and healing of those in Chile.

Love, Jessie

Hey hows it going!!! i have been doing great! i love the mission. i have had my challenges, but that is all part of the experience. it have been really cold the last two days, so that has been fun. it sounds like you all have been busy. its a bummer that dad has been gone. is this the time when he starts all the big trips? that should be fun, and happy anniversary. it sounds like it will be a fun trip. o and thank you for the pillowcase, i love it. we have transfers the next monday. so that will be fun. i think that i will stay in the city though. i got robbed the other day, really early in the morning. that was fun. they didnt take anything of mine but the elder that i was with they took his watch and some money, but no more. i am a little shooken up but alright. it was hard because the elder i was with is new and was an easy target for him. but they didnt want anything of mine, because i dont have anything worth robbing. :) it was an interesting experience. well i love you all and hope you have a great week.

Elder Nelson: SPOTTED

Did you know that Elder Nelson has a blog for their mission? You can find it at http://chilesantiagonorthmission.blogspot.com/ or at the button over on the right side of this blog.

Down at the bottom, you can flip through pictures that were taken at zone conferences and other gatherings. I happened to spot Elder Nelson in a few pictures. If you care to take a look.. go to the very last slide show on the page... down at the very bottom. Click over, or through, to the 3rd page of pictures. Can you see him in picture PC221709? Keep going, two pictures later, and how about in the big group picture? Can you spot Waldo, I mean, Elder Nelson?

What a beautiful home and yard. Maybe from Thanksgiving dinner? We'll have to ask... Looks like they are being fed well. :)

Hey hows it going!!! i am doing great, sorry i have not been sending very many experiences and photos, well i havent had time to take photos to tell the truth, i can only take them on mondays, and with my comp as district leader, we never have time to do things. but experiences i can do a lot better with. it has been amazing how much i have been learning during my time here, my comp has a lot of time and experience and i am tring to learn as much as i can from him. we have been teaching this family for the past month, and they are going to enter the water bien pronto, it is a mom and three kids. they are from peru( just a side note we tend to have more success with the people from peru, they tend to be a lot porer and a lot more receptive) and she is in a very humble situation. but she has had some very cool experiences with answers to her prayers, some dreams very cool that i wont get into, :) and has felt stronger that anyone else that i have taught that the church is true. it has been a very cool experience and i have grown to love this family mucho. well sorry i cant talk more but i have to go, love you all and will talk to you next week.
Love,
Elder Tyler Nelson
